Call for abstracts – 40th International Symposium on Environmental and Food Monitoring (ISEAC-40)
ISEAC-40 will host a special session on Wastewater-Based Epidemiology (WBE), which will count with Sara Castiglioni as invited speaker.
The 40th International Symposium on Environmental and Food Monitoring (ISEAC-40) will be held in the historical city of Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain) on 19-22 June 2018. As you probably may be aware of, this is the flagship symposium of the International Association of Environmental Analytical Chemistry (IAEAC), which will be organized by the University of Santiago de Compostela (chaired by José Benito Quintana, Environment), with the collaboration of the University of Zaragoza (cochaired by Cristina Nerin, Food) and the IAEAC itself.
The ISEAC conference series was formerly focused in environmental analytical chemistry (ISEAC stands for International Symposium on Environmental Analytical Chemistry) only, but it incorporated food analytics in 2014 (ISEAC-38 in Lausanne).
In this edition, ISEAC-40 will deal with several topics on basic aspects and applied analytics in the environmental and food fieds, including regular and special sessions. In this context, ISEAC-40 will host a special session on Wastewater-Based Epidemiology (WBE), which will count with Sara Castiglioni as invited speaker. She will briefly review the history of WBE and focus on the newest applications, where most of us have been working, through SCORE, for quite a few years, further promoting WBE to a broader audience.
I hope you will find ISEAC-40 and Santiago de Compostela, with its UNESCO World Heritage recognized historic center and pilgrimage way, an attractive venue to present your latest work on WBE and other analytical, environmental and food related topics.
Deadline for abstracts submission is March 22nd!
